My story with Gate—Celebrating Gate’s 13th Anniversary❤️

One afternoon in 2018, I opened Gate’s page for the first time. At that time, Bitcoin had just gone through a wild ride, and the whole market was talking about "blockchain changing the world." And I, an ordinary investor full of curiosity about new things, formed an inseparable bond with Gate.
My first transaction was buying Dogecoin. Back then, Dogecoin was only a few cents in RMB, as cheap as giving it away for free. I gritted my teeth and bought 200,000. Honestly, I didn’t understand technical analysis or value investing at the time; I just thought, "This thing is pretty interesting, what if it goes up?" Little did I know, that purchase started an eight-year story.

Dogecoin: My Crypto Awakening
200,000 Dogecoins, at that time, seemed like a "huge sum." I acted like a miser, refreshing the page every day, watching the price fluctuate. A few cents’ change could make my heart race all day. Later, the market heated up and cooled down, cooled down and heated up again, and I kept selling, buying, then selling again, then buying again. Those 200,000 Dogecoins were long gone from my hands, but they taught me the most important lesson: in this market, patience is more important than cleverness, and mindset is more precious than technical skills.
I became more familiar with Gate’s interface, from initially being clumsy to later being able to place orders, cancel orders, and read K-line charts proficiently. It’s like a living room of an old friend—every login gives a sense of belonging.

Launching New Coins and Airdrops: More Exciting Than Making Money
If trading is daily life, then launching new coins and airdrops are festivals. I still remember the scene when I received my first airdrop. That morning, I woke up, opened Gate, and found some new coins in my account. The amount wasn’t much, maybe a few dozen yuan equivalent.
