😎 #ETH Vitalik Buterin said that Ethereum’s goal is not to be the fastest network or to compete with high-frequency trading platforms, but to serve as a secure, decentralized, and reliable network.
He noted that, to support long-term digital assets, Ethereum promotes formal verification using artificial intelligence and aims for quantum resistance. Ultimately, Ethereum seeks to pass a “verification test,” similar to #BTC, ensuring that the network will be able to function stably even without constant participation from core developers.
He also stated that an L2 that simply clones Ethereum and makes it more centralized is meaningless. A truly meaningful L2 should study the needs of applications and create the necessary autonomous components beyond Ethereum L1.
