Early-morning rally as a group! Old Ted announces extension of the ceasefire!
In the early morning, stock index futures for all three major U.S. markets surged together. Bitcoin jumped by 2,000 points, hitting $76,300, and gold opened higher and continued to rise. Everything was because of one sentence from Old Ted—U.S. President Donald Trump announced an extension of the ceasefire with Iran’s deadline, easing the market’s concerns. Trump posted that, at the request of the Pakistani Army Chief and the Prime Minister, the U.S. would temporarily hold off on military strikes against Iran, extend the ceasefire, and ask Iran to first submit a unified negotiation plan.
The market is jubilant, as if for a short time there is no need to worry about negative-shock attacks. But note that while “Big Pancake” has bounced back, it still hasn’t broken through yesterday’s high, and Iran seems to “not buy it” when it comes to Trump’s friendly overtures.
Next, we need to watch Iran’s stance:
Rejecting attendance at the second round of U.S.-Iran talks originally scheduled for April 22 in Islamabad
Denying the request to extend the ceasefire and accusing the U.S. of “seeking time to carry out a surprise attack”
Accusing the U.S. of repeatedly breaking promises, especially during the first round of talks, when it put forward “excessive demands,” violating the previously accepted Iran “Ten-Point Peace Plan” framework
Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi said the U.S.’s maritime blockade constitutes “acts of war,” violating the spirit of the ceasefire $BTC $ETH $RAVE
