Most people lose money trading cryptocurrencies, and the root cause is simply a lack of awareness.

Everyone only focuses on those get-rich-quick stories, but rarely face the risks honestly. Losing margin dozens of times and still thinking it's just bad luck, refusing to admit that trading contracts is a game with extremely low win rates.

I’ve also experienced big setbacks myself. Turning 20k yuan into 400k yuan, repeatedly, only to be liquidated each time. Why? Because I overestimated myself. Thinking that multiplying my capital by twenty or thirty times was easy, believing that with my skills, making money in the crypto world was a walk in the park? As a result, over five years, I kept depositing funds repeatedly, only to be wiped out each time.

The core issue is arrogance, always thinking I am the chosen one. But if you think calmly: is the pressure the same when trading contracts with 20k yuan versus 400k yuan? Is the mindset the same when trading with a hundred times leverage on 20k yuan versus on 400k yuan? Back when I had 400k yuan, if I had switched to spot trading, I might already have hundreds of millions now.

This is the ceiling of awareness. It’s like earning hundreds of thousands from street vending, then switching to a big storefront, but still using the same street vendor mindset—can that work?

I tell every crypto enthusiast I talk to: if you want to survive in the crypto world, start with small funds, practice for more than half a year, go through all the pitfalls, accumulate experience, and develop the right mindset. You need to honestly assess your real level, have reasonable expectations for returns, and not think about millions or tens of millions as soon as you enter.

To be blunt: you are not the chosen one. If you really had sky-high luck, you would have been born into a wealthy family. Being born into an ordinary family just shows that luck isn’t your trump card.

Over the years, I’ve realized one thing: if you want to make money, you must rely on solid skills and real experience. Every industry is the same—if you sell pancakes, you need to be better than your competitors, or you’ll be eliminated.

At least you should know how to make pancakes, right? But many people in the crypto world know almost nothing. What is the full name of Bitcoin? What about Ethereum? How do you use a blockchain explorer? Can on-chain transfer records be checked? What is a distributed node? Do you understand how Bitcoin works? Start from the basics: candlestick charts, indicators, trends, how to judge good or bad altcoins, how to identify scam coins versus genuine projects.

I’ve always believed in eight words: Hidden dragon, do not use; accumulate strength quietly before erupting. No industry makes money easily. Your awareness, experience, and skills determine your earning potential. Even scammers and project teams in the crypto space rely on exceptional skills to make a living.
