Hashdex files updated spot Bitcoin ETF, CBOE to open trading Jan. 11
Issuers submitted last-minute amendments on spot Bitcoin ETF deadline day as the Chicago Board Options Exchange disclosed the first trading date
Hashdex submitted an updated form S-1 for its spot Bitcoin ETF, retaining its 0.9% fee amid a tussle between issuers to offer competitive rates. Other firms like BlackRock and Valkyrie slashed fees, with Bitwise offering the most affordable rate at 0.2%.
At least six issuers will also table fee waivers.

Firms expected to open trading include ARK 21Shares, Fidelity, VanEck, Franklin Templeton, Invesco Galaxy, and Wisdomtree to name a few
Despite the flurry of amendments and the CBOE notice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission must approve 19b-4 filings before spot Bitcoin ETFs can trade in American financial markets Notably, some trading apps already display BTC ETF tickers.
While Bitcoin (BTC) saw volatility after hackers posted a fake approval announcement from the SEC’s X account, ARK CEO Cathie Wood does not foresee a delay in spot BTC ETFs, per Bloomberg.
