The future is created by thinking it up and making it happen!
I have lived in anxiety for a long time,
Every day I think about what to do in the future,
What kind of person I will become,
What kind of things I will do in the future,
I keep pondering these questions,
Unable to extricate myself from them.
Over time, I found that I was becoming more anxious,
More empty,
More miserable,
I got nothing,
And wasted time,
Wasted life,
Wasted the precious time.
During the daily practice session,
I reflected on past issues,
I began to realize that,
The future is not something you think of,
Just sitting there on a chair fantasizing,
No matter how long you spend,
Even a lifetime,
The future will not come,
It will never come.
What is the future? It is created by action,
It is accumulated,
It is just a result,
A natural extension,
It is the outcome of what you do every day,
It is the final process of its internal sedimentation,
It is part of this thing.
In other words,
Only when you do this thing diligently every day,
Will the future exist,
Otherwise,
It’s like a dream,
Only existing in our minds,
Impossible to realize.
It’s like building a house,
My ideal is to build a sturdy and magnificent house,
That is my future,
But I think every day,
And it will never be realized.
Starting from this moment,
I begin to lay bricks,
Start to lay the foundation,
Do a little today,
Do a little tomorrow,
Over time,
Wouldn’t this house be built? Wouldn’t my ideal future be realized? So what is the result? It’s part of the process of laying bricks,
It doesn’t exist independently,
And it’s not everything.
And I want to become a writer,
A writer who sees the world with open eyes,
What should I do? That is starting now,
I need to learn,
Read,
Write,
Not only to do,
But also to do well,
This process is laying the foundation,
Laying bricks,
It’s a necessary process to realize my ideal future.
So, is thinking about the future useful? Yes,
Because if you don’t think about it,
How can you act? So where is its usefulness? In guiding us,
Just this purpose.
But is just thinking useful? No,
After thinking, you still need to act,
Just like sailing,
Thinking of a bunch of routes,
Your ship has to set sail,
Operate,
If the ship doesn’t move,
No matter how much you think,
You’re just standing still,
Never reaching our ideal destination.
Should you think? Absolutely,
Without this thinking,
We will lose our way in the vast ocean; should you act? Absolutely,
Without this action,
You can never reach the other shore,
You will just drift on the ocean,
Eventually sink and perish.
Action is a necessary process to achieve results,
And what about the results? They are the compass guiding action,
The two are dialectically related,
Not hostile nor isolated,
But two sides of the same coin,
Missing either makes it incomplete.
This is the law of development of things,
Just like wanting a tree that shields from wind and rain,
Now, this is the compass,
A tool to guide our actions,
With it,
We know what to do,
How to do it.
Alright,
Next, we can start doing,
Buy a sapling first,
Then find a suitable place,
Dig a hole,
Plant the sapling,
Water it,
Fertilize,
Day after day,
And then quietly wait for it to grow into a big tree that shields from wind and rain.
This process is natural,
It follows laws,
It cannot be forcibly achieved by us.
Once we understand this principle,
We will no longer be confused,
Because we know,
Only by laying the bricks properly now,
Watering well now,
Will the future house,
The future big tree come.
This is the only process,
And the only way,
During this period,
No rush,
No impatience,
Otherwise, it’s easy to overreach,
And do more harm than good.
