Gate Non-Custodial Wallet has officially launched its Limit Order functionality, covering both Swap and Professional Trading modules. Users can now preset target prices, allowing the system to automatically monitor the market and trigger on-chain transactions once conditions are met. This feature is designed to help users achieve precise price execution while reducing the time cost of manual market monitoring.
Core Features
1.Automated Execution: After setting a trigger price, the system continuously monitors the market. When the preset conditions are met, the system automatically broadcasts the transaction to the blockchain to complete the exchange.
2.Flexible Price Settings:
- Supports switching between direct and indirect exchange rates.
- Provides quick percentage options (±1%, ±5%, ±10%) and supports custom manual input.
- Real-time display of price spread and estimated market value to help assess transaction cost-effectiveness.
3.Multiple Validity Periods: Offers six duration settings: 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days (default). Orders that are not triggered within the timeframe will automatically expire.
4.Security Mechanism: Utilizes an off-chain intent signature architecture. Assets remain under the user's full control; transactions are only broadcasted on-chain based on the signed intent once triggered, adhering to non-custodial security principles.
Operating Guide
Single-Chain Swap
Navigate to the Swap page in the Gate Non-Custodial Wallet.The steps are consistent across both the App and Web versions:
1.Switch the trading mode from "Market" to "Limit".
2.Select the payment and receiving tokens (Currently supporting ETH and SOL mainnets).
3.Set Trigger Price: Manually enter the price, select a percentage shortcut, or customize the price change.
4.Configure the Order Validity Period.
5.Confirm the payment amount and price details, click submit, and complete the wallet signature.
Important Notes
1.f you have not activated a Smart Account, the button will display "Unlock Smart Account." You must complete this setup in the App first.
2.The current limit for active limit orders is 5. You must cancel existing orders to place new ones if the limit is reached.
3.A risk warning will pop up if the set price deviates from the current market price by ≥ 10%.
Professional Trading
- Enter the Professional Trading page in the Gate Non-Custodial Wallet.
- Select "Limit Order" on the trading panel.
- Enter the Buy or Sell price and set the validity period.
- Confirm the order details and complete the signature.
Limitations
- Account Requirement: Users must activate a Smart Account before use.
- Order Cap: A maximum of 5 active limit orders is allowed at any one time.
- Price Deviation: The system will issue a warning if the target price deviates from the market price by more than 10%.
Risk Disclosures
- Market Price Risk: Orders only trigger when the set conditions are met. During periods of high volatility, prices may "gap" over your trigger price, resulting in a failed fill or a price different from expectations.
- Slippage Risk: Actual execution prices may deviate from the trigger price due to liquidity issues or network congestion. Users are advised to set reasonable slippage tolerance.
- Network Fee Risk: Gas fees are only charged when the order is triggered and executed on-chain. Ensure your wallet has sufficient native tokens (e.g., ETH, SOL) to cover these fees; insufficient balance will cause execution failure.
- Expiry Risk: Orders automatically expire if not triggered within the set duration.
