The cryptocurrency market keeps expanding, creating new opportunities and challenges for investors. With so many choices, it’s often difficult for the crypto community to select digital assets for investment. BeInCrypto’s editorial team reached out to top industry experts to discover which promising cryptocurrencies merit attention in the near future.
Rafik Mamin, CEO of Minestream, sees Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Bitcoin as the leading candidates for maximum returns, with Bitcoin continuing to set the pace for the entire market. He believes Bitcoin remains the most reliable digital asset due to its established presence and growing institutional interest.
"I believe Bitcoin could reach $150,000, and if market momentum and regulatory progress are favorable—even surpass $180,000," he shared.
Mamin expects Ethereum’s role as the foundation for decentralized applications (dApps) to keep it at the forefront. Ongoing upgrades that improve scalability and reduce transaction costs provide a solid base for future growth. He sees the price potentially rising to $5,700, and in highly optimistic scenarios, up to $5,800.
Mamin associates XRP’s outlook with the possible resolution of Ripple’s longstanding dispute with US regulators. This legal battle heavily influences investor perception and XRP’s market performance.
"If Ripple wins, it would be a powerful catalyst that could drive XRP’s price to the $4–5 range. XRP has enormous potential in cross-border payments, and regulatory clarity will be decisive," Mamin noted.
For Solana, Mamin anticipates growth fueled by better network performance, infrastructure development, and more blockchain-based applications. Fast transaction speeds and low fees make Solana appealing for developers of dApps and NFT projects.
"I expect SOL’s price to fluctuate between $200–550, with the potential to reach $700 under optimal conditions," he explained, outlining his positive outlook for Solana.
Alexey Bykov, Head of Client Data Management at Strifor, partially agrees with Mamin’s picks. He presented an expanded investment list of six cryptocurrencies, detailing the rationale behind each choice:
Ethereum. Ethereum maintains its lead thanks to upcoming upgrades that will boost scalability, lower transaction costs, and improve energy efficiency. Smart contracts and dApps continue to drive ecosystem growth. High innovation, an active developer community, and widespread DeFi adoption make ETH a strong long-term investment.
Optimism. This Layer 2 solution for Ethereum, based on Optimistic Rollups, efficiently eases congestion and reduces transaction fees. Popular projects like Uniswap and Synthetix already use Optimism, demonstrating its reliability and growth potential. Increasing integrations further solidify its place in the Ethereum ecosystem.
StarkNet. Another advanced Layer 2 platform on Ethereum, StarkNet utilizes cutting-edge zk-rollups technology to accelerate transactions and enhance security. STRK is trading near historic lows, making it especially attractive for long-term investors. zk-rollups offer high throughput while maintaining robust security.
Polygon. Polygon solves Ethereum’s scalability problems by enabling fast, inexpensive transactions without compromising security. Its ecosystem is rapidly expanding, attracting developers and institutional investors. Future upgrades could further strengthen Polygon’s market position and utility.
Bitcoin. Despite steady growth among altcoins, Bitcoin remains crypto’s "digital gold." It’s deeply integrated with traditional finance and serves as a reliable asset for long-term investment. Its fixed supply and rising institutional acceptance support its value.
Solana. Solana stands out for high transaction speeds and minimal fees. The popularity of dApps and NFT projects continues to drive demand for SOL. Ecosystem growth and new project launches provide additional momentum.
Financial analyst and investor Ilya Makar also shared his views on promising investment areas. Asked which cryptocurrency will grow first, he pointed to Bitcoin. Makar sees BTC’s growth driven by rising institutional interest and the potential for further scaling through Layer 2 solutions such as Lightning Network.
Among altcoins, Makar highlighted Ethereum, whose team is constantly working on technical improvements and innovative solutions to boost network efficiency. He also named Cardano as a project with strong prospects.
"In the near future, Cardano could become a leading platform for smart contracts and dApps, especially given the team’s focus on sustainability, scientific development, and social impact," he explained.
For other standout altcoins, Makar singled out Polkadot, Chainlink, Solana, Avalanche, Polygon, Cosmos, and Near Protocol. He believes these cryptocurrencies could deliver strong growth soon, citing their technical strength, innovative solutions, and rising demand for platform functionality across the crypto sector.
Serial FinTech and DeFi entrepreneur, developer, and analyst Alexander Weiss, in turn, believes investors should pay special attention to Layer 2 tokens and several foundational projects with robust technology. Weiss’s favorites are TON, Solana, and Sui, citing their technological advantages and potential for broad adoption.
Pavel Butenko, crypto trading expert at Crypto Academy SoulTeam, recommended Ethereum for investment. He argues that ETH’s current price does not yet reflect its true value given its fundamentals and technology. Butenko also pointed to Arbitrum and Optimism tokens from the Ethereum ecosystem as promising Layer 2 solutions with strong growth potential.
Butenko named the RWA (Real World Assets—tokenization of real assets) segment as another promising area. Among these tokens, he highlighted Lido Finance for staking and Synthetix for synthetic assets. In the emerging DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) segment, he recommends IOTA for its innovative solutions for IoT and decentralized infrastructure.
According to experts, several cryptocurrencies offer high growth potential in the near future. Bitcoin remains the front-runner, with forecasts of possible growth to $150,000 or even $180,000 if market conditions and regulatory signals are positive. Its "digital gold" status and growing institutional adoption provide a solid foundation for continued appreciation.
Ethereum maintains its popularity thanks to continuous upgrades aimed at improving scalability and lowering costs. The shift to Proof-of-Stake and adoption of Layer 2 solutions make the network more efficient and attractive for developers. XRP also appears promising, especially if Ripple secures a favorable outcome in its US court case, which could trigger strong growth.
Solana’s fast transactions and low fees keep it competitive, and experts expect its token price could reach $700 under favorable conditions. Expanding NFT and dApp ecosystems on Solana continue to attract new users and developers.
In addition to market leaders, experts recommend several other promising cryptocurrencies. Alexey Bykov mentions Polygon, Optimism, StarkNet, and Cardano as attractive for long-term investment, emphasizing their technological strengths, such as innovative scaling solutions and minimal fees.
Ilya Makar highlights Polkadot, Chainlink, Avalanche, and Cosmos, noting their strong technical fundamentals and rising demand for the solutions these platforms offer. These tokens could see notable growth through steady ecosystem development, innovative technology adoption, and expanding utility.
Experts also urge investors to consider TON, Sui, Arbitrum, and Optimism as promising Layer 2 solutions. In the DeFi sector, Lido Finance and Synthetix tokens deserve attention, while IOTA stands out in the emerging DePIN segment.
