Joe Lubin – co-founder of Ethereum and CEO of Consensys – stated that ETH could surpass the price of Bitcoin due to its utility and role in building a trust-based financial system.
On the FOMO Hour podcast of Rug Radio, Lubin revealed that Consensys is negotiating with national investment funds and major banks of a “very large” country to develop Ethereum infrastructure, including both layer-1 and custom layer-2 solutions.
Consensys recently led a $425 million investment in SharpLink Gaming – a company that will establish a treasury using Ether and implement staking, restaking, and DeFi. SharpLink’s stock has surged over 400% following the news.
Lubin emphasized that Ethereum is the “most reliable programmable platform in the world,” and if governments start to integrate or hold ETH, the balance of power among digital assets could shift.
