Gate News bot message, Ethereum developer Péter Szilágyi revealed that the Ethereum Foundation previously made an independent proposal of $5 million to the Geth (Go Ethereum’s main client software) team, but it was rejected by the team. At the same time, the Foundation also provided $5 million in funding support to Parity, aimed at promoting client diversification and dropping reliance on Geth.
In response, Tomasz Stańczak, the co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation, stated that there are currently no plans to remove Geth and that the foundation will continue to support its development work.
