Trader GCR Faces Insider Trading Allegations Over Crypto Picks

HomeNews* Crypto trader GCR faces allegations of insider trading linked to early access of investment tips from Palm Beach Confidential and Binance coin listings.

  • Screenshots suggest GCR may have obtained advance knowledge of newsletter recommendations and new coin listings for at least two years.
  • The source cannot confirm the authenticity of the leaked communications or claims made online by traders and social media users.
  • Allegations include claims that GCR accessed confidential picks by Hacking into the newsletter provider’s web services.
  • GCR has not addressed the accusations or posted to their known accounts in recent months. A trader known as GCR, widely recognized for a large public bet against Do Kwon’s Terra/Luna project, is now facing new allegations of insider trading within the cryptocurrency sector. Accusations surfaced in July 2025, claiming that GCR was able to access confidential token recommendations from the Palm Beach Confidential investment newsletter, as well as early information on upcoming Binance coin listings, before the information became public.
  • Advertisement - Screenshots circulating online allegedly show posts linked to usernames known to belong to GCR, including “GiganticRebirth” on X and Discord. In those posts, individuals claim early access to trade recommendations, allowing them to buy tokens ahead of broader market activity sparked by newsletter releases or exchange listings. Palm Beach Confidential subscribers paid around $10,000 per year for private investment tips, which reportedly led to quick surges in trading activity once disclosed.

According to the shared screenshots, one Discord user with a GCR handle described gaining information by “hacking” into Palm Beach Confidential‘s Amazon Web Services to view ticker symbols hours before they were sent to subscribers. The user also claimed advance notice of new coin listings on Binance. These acts would have allowed for profitable trades ahead of public announcements.

Social media users have discussed these allegations, with one X user commenting, “Turns out it was insider info,” in reference to past trading strategies. Another trader on X repeated the accusations about gaining advance access to coin picks from both Palm Beach Confidential and Binance.

The publication reporting these claims stated it could not confirm the authenticity of the messages or the validity of the allegations. The accusations are largely based on unverified screenshots and comments from traders active on social media platforms.

GCR has not responded publicly to the charges. The accounts known to be run by GCR have not posted updates in several months. Further details about the investigation or official responses from Palm Beach Confidential or Binance were not available at the time of reporting.
