On August 7, 2025, the “Anchor” Web3.0 Future Summit and RWA Research and Technology Achievements Release Conference was successfully held in Hong Kong. The world’s first RWA registration platform, guided by the Hong Kong Web3.0 Standardization Association, was officially launched, and the first batch of global strategic cooperation agreements was signed. Attendees included Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Leung Chun-ying, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, Christopher Hui, President of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Paul Chan, Legislative Council members of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, including Wong Kam-hin and Wong Chun-shun, as well as foreign representatives from Australia, Belgium, South Africa, and other countries.

The summit is hosted by the Hong Kong Web3.0 Standardization Association, organized by Ant Digital Technology, co-organized by AI MallTech, and supported by the AIoT Research Institute of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the IEEE Computer Society Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology Standardization Committee. Representatives from member units of various associations including Hashkey, OKLink, JD Coinchain Technology, Sanwei Security, Signalplus, GaoYing Securities, NetEase, QuChain, CESS, China Telecom Service, Ant Digital, Geno, Web3.0 tech, Trusta, Binjiang Research Institute, RealtyX, Zhonghong Digital, JinHou Asset Management, Tiancao Ecology, AlloyX, as well as legal partners from Hong Kong JunHe Law Offices and heavyweight guests from the industry attended this meeting.

Chairman Li Ming delivered a welcome speech.

Li Ming, Executive President of the Hong Kong Web3.0 Standardization Association, Associate Researcher at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Chairman of the IEEE Blockchain Standardization Committee, delivered a welcome speech at the conference. President Li pointed out that since its establishment in January 2024, the Association has always adhered to its purpose of supporting the government, serving the industry, building consensus, standardizing the ecosystem, creating a platform, and promoting innovation, with the aim of leveraging standardization to assist in Hong Kong’s Web3.0 technological breakthroughs, application innovations, and ecosystem development. Currently, the Association has gathered nearly 30 member units and, together with hundreds of industry experts, has completed 2 research reports, 3 group standards, initiated 4 international standards, established the RWA registration platform, and organized a series of industry activities and summits in the fields of stablecoins, RWA, Depin, and DeFi. In the future, the Association will continue to uphold the concepts of openness, collaboration, and innovation, promoting the internationalization and tool-ization of standards, while summarizing the best practices of Hong Kong and establishing a global exchange and cooperation platform based in Hong Kong, thereby expanding Hong Kong’s influence in the global Web3.0 landscape.

The Hong Kong Web3.0 Standardization Association should rely on standards to provide a complete closed-loop solution for the digitalization, assetization, and financialization of real-world assets globally.

Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, Xu Zhengyu

The Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Mr. Au Ka-wang, pointed out that the SAR Government is committed to making Hong Kong a global leading digital asset center, creating an innovative and thriving market environment to address pain points for the real economy and generate substantial benefits for the financial market. Hong Kong has achieved significant results in the tokenization field, providing a replicable model for the global financial market. In the future, the Hong Kong government will continue to collaborate with regulatory agencies and the industry to formulate a comprehensive legal and regulatory framework, ensuring the healthy and sustainable development of Hong Kong’s digital asset ecosystem.

Cai Guanshen, President of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce

Cai Guanshen, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, pointed out that Hong Kong, as an international financial center, has a solid foundation in the fields of Web3.0 and RWA, being able to rely on a market of 1.3 billion people in the motherland while connecting to the global market. By utilizing RWA and Web3.0 technologies, the traditional “capital channel” can be transformed into a global financial “central nervous system,” which will assist in the internationalization of the Renminbi, add liquidity support to the country’s foreign exchange reserves, and inject new vitality and confidence into the global capital market.

The 14th National Committee member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Legislative Council member of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Huang Jin Hui, pointed out that the Hong Kong government is actively promoting the development of the Web3.0 ecosystem. The VASP licensing system, RWA sandbox, and other policies have been implemented to lay a solid regulatory foundation for industrial development. In the future, the focus will be on a four-dimensional strategy of “regulations first, standards-driven, technology-supported, and business innovation,” relying on standardized tools to dynamically adapt to industrial needs and promote Hong Kong in establishing an efficient, robust, and flexible regulatory model.
