The Sui on-chain DeFi protocol Nemo today experienced a hacking incident involving 2.4 million USD in protocol funds, with the incident occurring on (8, just a day after the official announcement of a two-day update. Users described this system update notification as being like the announcement letter from Kaito Kid. After the hacker unstaked from Scallop, they immediately exchanged multiple tokens for USDC and cross-chained to the Ethereum network. The hacker's funding source, HuoBi, will also become a direction for subsequent investigations.

Unexpectedly, at midnight on the 8th in Taiwan time, an attack on Nemo quietly began. The hacker address 0x0122 unstaked from Nemo and Scallop, exchanged various tokens for USDC, and then cross-chained to the Ethereum chain.

According to the official statistics from Shield, Nemo has lost 2.4 million USD in funds, but the TVL of Nemo Yield on DeFiLlama has lost 4.83 million USD, indicating that users have withdrawn their assets from Nemo.

According to reports, the main assets attacked were part of YT, while the treasury was not affected. It is noteworthy that the first transaction from the hacker's address was receiving tokens from the HuoBi exchange, which may become a direction for further investigation. This incident marks the second major DeFi incident involving the Sui public chain this year, following the hack of the Cetus exchange.
