Since the last few years, North Korean hackers have continued to trouble the crypto market, and each year these bad actors have hit the Web3 industry by more than $1 billion in crypto
Earlier this year, it was reported that hackers linked to DPRK were responsible for $1.6 billion, primarily fueled by a record-breaking $1.5 billion of Bybit, a centralized crypto exchange.
Per estimates from Chainalysis in 2024, hackers from North Korea looted more than $1.30 billion, accounting for nearly 61% of all hacks globally in the Web3 sector.
