CZ Denies Rumors: Meme Coin “Binance Life” Has Nothing to Do with My Book

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) publicly addressed ongoing speculation on January 8, 2026, clarifying that his upcoming autobiography has no connection to the meme coin Binance Life. He stated that he does not own the token and has no plans to get involved with it.

Chinese Book Title Sparked Confusion In a social media post, CZ announced that the Chinese version of his memoir may be titled “币安人生”, which translates to “Life at Binance.” However, he added that the English title will be completely different and has not yet been finalized. CZ stressed that the title has no link to any token or project, though he admitted he enjoys meme culture and finds the phrase personally catchy.

Memoir to Be Released Within Weeks CZ confirmed that the book is expected to be published within 4–6 weeks, with both the Chinese and English versions launching simultaneously. Its market cap skyrocketed within days from a few hundred thousand dollars to over $500 million.
