Hyperliquid announces that HyperCore will support "Outcome Trading" (HIP-4), a new feature that allows users to trade based on the final results of events, enhancing the platform's capabilities and offering more diverse trading options.
PANews February 2 News, Hyperliquid announced on the X platform that HyperCore will support “Result Trading” (HIP-4). Results are fully collateralized contracts settled within a fixed range. They are a universal core component suitable for applications such as prediction markets and limited tools similar to options. Result trading introduces nonlinear features, periodic contracts, and a new form of derivative trading that does not require leverage or liquidation. This core component expands HyperCore’s expressive capabilities and can work in conjunction with other components such as combined margin and HyperEVM. Result contracts are currently still in development and are only being tested on the testnet. Standardized markets based on objective settlement sources will be deployed after the technical development is completed. These standardized markets will be priced in USDH. Based on user feedback, this infrastructure will gradually open to permissionless deployment modes.
