Axie Infinity will launch a new token, bAXS, and conduct two rounds of airdrops to reward its community and promote ecosystem growth. The first round of airdrops will distribute tokens to early supporters, while the second round will target active players and participants in the platform. This initiative aims to enhance user engagement and provide more incentives for users to participate in the Axie Infinity universe.

Foresight News reports that Axie Infinity has announced the launch of a new token, bAXS. AXS will become the reserve currency for the new application token Bonded AXS (bAXS). As an ERC20-C token, bAXS has the same functionalities as AXS, including for Axie evolution, breeding, forging items in App.axie, and staking. The project team will conduct two rounds of bAXS airdrops for AXS stakers and based on the Axie Score. The first airdrop pool will be 100,000 bAXS, with a snapshot taken at 08:01 on February 5. Eligibility requires staking at least 10 AXS in a wallet. Details for the second round of airdrops are pending; bAXS earned from staking in the first round will increase the weight for the second round.

Additionally, Axie Homeland will gradually shut down and be replaced by the new land game Terrariums. Terrariums is expected to launch its MVP version in Q2 2026, at which point bAXS will officially go live, and players can earn bAXS rewards through various activities within Terrariums.
