Sauce Labs revolutionizes mobile testing through the 'Real Device Access API'

TechubNews

Sauce Labs has garnered industry attention with its new mobile testing infrastructure feature. The solution is called “Real Device Access API,” which provides an environment for testing software directly on real devices. This API serves as a programmable infrastructure that goes beyond traditional automation frameworks, supporting developers to allocate devices within seconds.

Sauce Labs’ Chief Product Officer Shuba Gobil said in an interview, “We have achieved the deep device-level control needed for AI-driven mobile workflows.” Its core advantage is the ability to quickly identify performance and stability issues that only manifest on actual hardware.

For game studios requiring long-term stability testing or teams performing endurance tests, this device access feature is particularly useful. It is not billed based on API call volume but is offered as an additional service bundled with the user’s purchased plan.
