According to The Block, Avalanche Mainnet’s major upgrade Avalanche9000 has been launched on the testnet on November 26, reducing chain deployment costs by 99.9%. At the same time, it has launched a $40 million Retro9000 retrospective reward program to incentivize developers to develop Layer 1 blockchains and related tools on the testnet.

This upgrade includes two important community proposals: ACP-77 to enhance the flexibility of Layer 1 validators and ACP-125 to drop the base fee by 96%. According to The Block data, the AVAX volume in the past 24 hours reached $1.9 billion, and the coin price pumped over 8%. Aytunç Yildizli, CEO of the Avalanche Foundation, stated that this upgrade will drive enterprises within the ecosystem to establish autonomous and controllable Layer 1 blockchains.
