Techub News reports that the crypto assets futures trading platform Bakkt will appoint Akshay Naheta to serve as Co-CEO alongside current CEO Andy Main. Akshay has over 20 years of experience, having served as an executive at SoftBank Group, overseeing numerous leading technology investments including ARM, Auto1, and Nvidia. After leaving SoftBank, Akshay founded Distributed Technologies Research (DTR), a company aimed at building next-generation global payment infrastructure. Meanwhile, Bakkt and DTR plan to sign a commercial agreement to combine DTR’s stablecoin-based payment technology infrastructure with Bakkt’s market-leading crypto assets trading and brokerage technology, pending approval from relevant regulatory authorities. If this collaboration comes into effect, it will open new revenue streams in the crypto assets trading and stablecoin payment sectors and enhance efficiency in the cross-border payment market.
