AeroVironment Q4 Revenue Hits $641.6M, Up 133% YoY; CEO Projects 'Unprecedented' Defense Demand Over 24 Months

According to CEO Wahid Nawabi, AeroVironment expects strong defense contract demand over the next 12 to 24 months, supported by a $1.2 billion funded backlog and expanding defense budgets. The company's Q4 2026 earnings beat analyst expectations, with revenue jumping 133% year-on-year to $641.6 million and earnings per share reaching $1.84 versus the consensus estimate of $1.47. Autonomous Systems accounted for 76% of Q4 revenue, with the company securing new U.S. Army awards for its VAPOR 55 CLE helicopter and P550 Group 2 drone. AeroVironment also received $572 million in new contracts during the quarter.
