Import copper concentrate processing fees dropped to $146 per dry ton, marking a historic low amid tight supply. Chile faced severe winter storms threatening copper and refined copper exports. Global wet-process copper production faces sulfuric acid supply constraints linked to Middle East geopolitical tensions. Domestic copper inventory continued drawdown as smelter maintenance reduced arrivals and demand remained at seasonal lows.
