China and Thailand to Hold 8th Joint Military Training Exercise 'Assault-2026' in Mid-to-Late May

According to Defense Ministry spokesperson Jiang Bin, China and Thailand will conduct their 8th joint military training exercise, dubbed 'Assault-2026', in mid-to-late May in Thailand. The training will focus on mountain and jungle counterterrorism operations, with mixed units from both nations conducting battlefield medical training, unmanned equipment operations, and live-fire exercises. The exercise aims to deepen bilateral military cooperation and enhance joint counterterrorism capabilities.
