Gate News update, according to an official announcement dated April 30, 2026

Gate announced that it has officially joined the Crypto Partner Program launched by Mastercard (crypto partner program). The program is a global partnership framework Mastercard is introducing for the digital assets industry. It aims to connect blockchain technology with existing payment systems and was rolled out in March 2026.

According to the announcement, the program focuses on key areas including cross-border payments, stablecoin payment networks, fiat and digital-asset on/off-ramp channels, and crypto payment cards. Leveraging its capabilities in digital-asset trading and infrastructure, Gate will, within a compliant framework, advance the connection between on-chain payments and real-world payment systems, and explore real-world use cases for stablecoins in cross-border settlement, business payments, and fund distribution.

The announcement states that several entities under Gate have already completed or obtained relevant regulatory registrations, licenses, authorizations, or approvals in multiple jurisdictions including Malta, Italy, Gibraltar, and The Bahamas, providing support for participation in the global payment ecosystem.
