Hyperliquid Briefly Flips Solana in Price at $73 vs $72 in Early June

HYPE-7.93%
SOL-3.21%
According to DefiLlama data, Hyperliquid (HYPE) briefly traded above Solana (SOL) in unit price terms in early June 2026, with HYPE changing hands at around $73 while SOL hovered near $72. HYPE set a fresh all-time high above $73, up nearly 200% from Q1 2025 levels, while SOL declined more than 75% over the same period. Despite the price crossover, SOL still commands a market cap of approximately $41.6 billion compared to HYPE's $18.3 billion, largely due to SOL's larger circulating supply of 570 million tokens versus HYPE's 250 million. Over the same timeframe, HYPE has also widened its lead in perpetual trading volume, with $212 billion in 30-day volume compared to SOL's $74 billion, according to DefiLlama.
