Iran Responds to Trump’s Claims of a Naval Blockade: The Strait of Hormuz Won’t Be Opened by a Blockade

GateNews

Gate News report: On April 12, U.S. President Donald Trump shared on social media an article about “a naval blockade” of Iran. Iran’s embassy in Austria responded the same day, saying that the blockade cannot “open” the Strait of Hormuz. The embassy wrote on social media: “A simple clarification for those concerned about this matter: a blockade is a blockade. It cannot ‘open’ the Strait of Hormuz; it will only restrict it. To get out of this self-created predicament, the only way forward is to remain open and flexible in negotiations. Follow reason.”
