Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi Discloses Details of April Iran-U.S. Ceasefire Talks in Pakistan

According to an interview released on July 19, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi disclosed details of April talks between Iran and the U.S. held in Pakistan. Araghchi stated that the ceasefire negotiation process with the U.S. was extremely difficult. Between 9 p.m. on April 11 and 3 a.m. the following day, Iran's delegation held a critical internal meeting to assess the situation. Despite differing viewpoints during the meeting, consensus was ultimately reached to agree to a ceasefire. However, Iran made clear that the U.S. must accept Iran's previously proposed 10-point plan as the basis for negotiations, according to CCTV.
