LG Display Reports Operating Loss of 107.7 Billion Won in Q2, But H1 Swings to 39 Billion Won Profit

According to Yonhapinfomax, LG Display reported an operating loss of 107.7 billion won in Q2 2026 (announced July 22), marking its first quarterly loss in four quarters amid seasonal downturn and workforce restructuring costs. H1 consolidated revenue reached 11.146 trillion won, down 4.3% year-over-year, with operating profit of 39 billion won, reversing a prior-year loss of 82.6 billion won.

The company attributed Q2 losses partly to one-time restructuring expenses and noted that excluding such charges, underlying operations remained profitable. LG Display said a voluntary retirement program generated approximately 240 billion won in costs.
