Middle East Crude Exports Hit 16.3M Barrels Daily in 2025, China Top Importer at 11.5M

According to OPEC, U.S. Energy Information Administration, and UN trade data, the Middle East exported 16.3 million barrels of crude oil daily in 2025, far exceeding the Commonwealth of Independent States (6.2M b/d) and Africa (4.6M b/d). China emerged as the world's largest crude importer at 11.5 million barrels daily, followed by the European Union at approximately 8.7 million barrels daily. Other major Asian importers included India (5M b/d), South Korea (2.8M b/d), and Japan (2.4M b/d). North America shifted to a net exporter position with 2.5 million barrels daily.
