Nvidia Launches Spectrum-6 Ethernet Switch with 102.4Tbps Capacity, Double Previous Generation

According to Nvidia, on July 21 the company unveiled Spectrum-6 Ethernet switching system designed for next-generation massive AI factories based on the Vera Rubin platform. The system delivers 102.4Tbps switching capacity, double that of its predecessor, and is engineered to connect hundreds of thousands of GPUs and CPUs while supporting large-scale AI training, agentic applications, and inference workloads. Spectrum-6 will serve as a core component of the next-generation Spectrum-X Ethernet platform, providing high bandwidth, intelligent traffic management, and failure recovery capabilities to enhance overall AI factory computing efficiency.
