Russia's State Tech Corporation Tests New Drone Swarm Control System for Precision Strikes

GateNews

Gate News message, April 14 — Russia’s state technology corporation Rostec announced on April 14 that its newly developed attack drone swarm control system has passed initial testing and could be used for precision strikes on complex targets in the future.

The system is based on the Supercam UAV platform and consists of loitering munitions with enhanced data transmission, launch devices, and a vehicle-mounted control station. Each operator can control up to 10 drones to search a target area. The first drone to detect a target automatically forwards data to other drones in the swarm. After operator confirmation, the system automatically assigns tasks and directs the drones to launch a coordinated attack, designed to penetrate air defense systems and strike complex targets.

According to the announcement, the system successfully hit targets during initial tests. Development and testing work continues.
