GateNews

According to Spain’s Health Ministry, the country launched the second phase of evacuation operations for the cruise ship Hondius on May 11, focusing on transferring remaining foreign passengers and non-core crew members. Passengers from Germany, the Netherlands, Greece, and Australia underwent medical assessments before being transported away from the vessel by tugboats.

Once all personnel are evacuated, the ship will be managed by 17 core crew members. The Hondius is scheduled to depart later today for Rotterdam, Netherlands, where a specialized biosafety team will conduct weeks of deep disinfection to eliminate virus contamination risks.
