Taiwan President Says Self-Ruled Island Vital to Global AI at Computex, Accounts for 60% of Global Foundry Revenue

According to Taipei Times, on June 3 at the opening of Computex Taipei, Taiwan President William Lai said the self-ruled island is vital to global AI development as it accounts for over 60% of global foundry revenue and more than 90% of leading-edge chip manufacturing. Lai emphasized that maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait is Taiwan's most responsible commitment to the global supply chain.
