Telegram to Rebrand Toncoin to Gram Within Three Weeks, Token Surges 13% to $2.12

According to Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, Toncoin will be renamed Gram within roughly three weeks, reviving the token's original name from its 2018 white paper. The change marks the fourth step in Durov's "Make TON Great Again" seven-part roadmap.

TON surged more than 13% to about $2.12 within a day of Monday's announcement. The rebrand comes as Telegram has displaced the TON Foundation to become the network's largest validator and primary steward.
