According to PANews on May 19, a U.S. jury ruled that OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman bear no liability in Elon Musk’s lawsuit, determining that the case is barred by the statute of limitations. The jury found that Musk’s claims regarding OpenAI’s departure from its charitable mission had exceeded the legal time threshold for filing suit. Musk had previously alleged that OpenAI abandoned its stated mission to benefit the public under Altman’s leadership and transformed into a for-profit enterprise.
