User Loses 600 Yuan After Baozi AI Misled on Ticket Refund, Promises Reimbursement But Fails to Pay

According to reports, a user lost 600 yuan on May 12 after being misled by Baozi AI assistant about flight ticket refund fees on May 20. The assistant promised a 5% refund fee but the actual deduction was 40%. After the user complained, Baozi promised full reimbursement by May 6 and issued a "reimbursement pledge," but failed to pay. The user filed a lawsuit against Beijing Chuntian Zhiyun Technology Co., Ltd., the operator of the Baozi app.

According to lawyer Deng Yile from Beijing Xingquan Law Firm, AI-generated reimbursement promises have no legal force. She emphasized that AI lacks civil subject status and cannot independently make legal representations.
