Wildfire Approaches Cenovus, MEG Oil Sands Base in Alberta, Just 7km Away on July 17

According to Alberta Wildfire and Alberta Energy Regulator data released July 17, an uncontrolled wildfire covering 25 hectares is now located approximately 7 kilometers from the Christina Lake oil sands facility operated by Cenovus Energy and MEG Energy. The facility has averaged approximately 105,000 barrels per day in production over the past year.
