About Superlocal

Superlocal is a social network where people go places, check in, and earn Superlocal Points. These points can eventually be converted into a token called LOCAL. Bad behaviour can negatively impact the value of LOCAL, so the points incentivize users to be kind and civil. Furthermore, Superlocal gives users ownership through the purchase of digital goods such as Mayorships. When users invest in these goods, they have a financial stake in the success of the company, which motivates them to act in a way that supports the long-term success of the platform, encouraging ethical behaviour.
