Blockchain games have always been highly anticipated in the capital market, and so far, there seems to be no breakthrough in the development of Web 2.5 games. Now, a group of people expect to put the entire game logic on-chain to enhance the composability between games, which is called the progenitor of all-chain games. In “The Strongest Crypto Gaming Thesis” written by Gubsheep, the founder of Dark Forest, it describes that native encrypted games are a game architecture pattern and spirit that maximally embraces blockchain application development. Now, the community generally refers to it as all-chain games or autonomous worlds.
Many games have recently launched tests or updates. Let’s take a look at the recent updates of the entire chain games with Dr.DODO in this week’s CryptoSnap.
Redstone Mainnet Launched
Lattice officially launched the Mainnet in early May for full-chain game development in Plasma Mode OpStack Layer 2 Redstone. It modifies the data availability of traditional Layer 2, significantly reducing the data occupation of L1, and attempts to overcome the high gas consumption issue in full-chain games, aiming to create a public chain specifically designed for FOCG full-chain games.
And currently, in addition to the official Skystrife, This Cursed Machine, Biomes, and Downstream, among other games, are also launched on the mainnet. At the same time, Lattice also held a hackathon for developers to develop game plugins.

Sky Strife
Sky Strife is currently the most representative game of Lattice, an RTS strategy game developed by the official Lattice. Unlike most blockchain games that have a slower turn-based pace, the development difficulty of Sky Strife is significantly higher. The game objective is to defend your castle and survive until the end by destroying all other players’ castles before they destroy yours.
In addition to the game itself, Sky Strife also offers a Season Pass, which allows players to choose two additional different units at the beginning and most importantly, create private matches. In addition to the Season Pass, Sky Strife also has its own token, Orbs (🔮). The sole function of Orbs is to create Sky Strife matches. Creating a match requires consuming 100 Orbs, and each match rewards players with ORBS based on their ranking. The total reward ranges from 500 ORBS to 0 Orbs, depending on the number of matches played in the past 7 days.

Recent Updates on Other Full-Chain Games
Primodium
Primodium is a space empire construction MMO game, which can be said to be the most complete game in the field of blockchain games. In the game, you can mine resources, establish military bases, and fight against others to gain control of the asteroid belt. The goal of Primodium is to be open and permissionless, which means that any third-party developer can freely develop and deploy robots or plugins on Primodium.
Recently, Primodium released the v 0.11.0 update, which added points related to Wormhole and Shards. Economic and military points can be obtained by feeding the black hole and capturing Shards.
Project Awakening Phase III
Project Awakening Phase III is the on-chain version developed by CCP Game, the developer of the space sci-fi MMORPG game Eve Online, which has been online for over 20 years. CCP Game previously announced a collaboration with Lattice to develop Project Awakening using MUD (the EVM game engine developed by Lattice). Project Awakening can be considered as the first on-chain complex application of MUD, and it is currently undergoing testing before launch.
Game testing requires signing an NDA. Not too much description on the gameplay, which is mostly similar to Eve Online. Interested individuals can sign up on their own.

Duper
Curio game studio has announced the launch of the Duper Alpha version, a on-chain betting social war game set in a distant desert planet. The goal is to bring the speculation native to the encryption community into competitive on-chain gaming, with gameplay being very complex.
Each game involves five players and lasts for about 40 minutes. Each player enters the game with a real bet (currently a minimum of 0.005 ETH) in exchange for gems representing “equity”. Duper is not a winner-takes-all game: when the game ends, only one player wins, but the pot is distributed based on how much “equity” the winner holds. The winner may not necessarily make the most profit.
The most interesting element in “Duper” is social interaction - in “Duper”, secret alliances involving resource exchange, conspiracies, and betrayals are not only allowed but also encouraged.

My point of view
I believe that full-chain games are one of the few interesting native applications of blockchain in this cycle, and they are also one of the few applications that retail players can directly experience. Truly deep games require the integration of art, music, and software development. The grand vision of full-chain games has attracted many talented developers and some capital. Although most game development is still in its early stages, and playing is not very intuitive, I still encourage everyone to give it a try and experience native blockchain games, and look forward to the development of full-chain games in the future.
