According to Jin10, citing remarks from the New Development Bank’s 2026 Annual Meeting, NDB President Dilma Rousseff stated on May 15 that the multilateral development bank will prioritize South-South cooperation to address shared development challenges among member nations. Rousseff emphasized that infrastructure development remains a cornerstone of economic advancement. She noted that the NDB must strengthen its strategy by leveraging both traditional financial tools and emerging digital technologies to unlock capital potential, enhance financing channels, and build financial resilience in an increasingly uncertain global environment.
